Gregory Almanza is a Texas-born director and performer based wherever his suitcase is. Directing credits include A Bright Room Called Day (Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts), The Color Purple (Assistant Director, The Muny), Sweeney Todd (Assistant Director, The Muny), Mary Poppins (Assistant Director, The Muny), The 39 Steps (Assistant Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), and Stick Fly (Assistant Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis). He has performed as Oscar in Sweat at The Black Rep, which was revived for a performance at the William Inge Festival to honor Lynn Nottage. He has also devised pieces such as But a Little Moment… (Universidad Nacional de Cuyo), Anticipation: A Bricolage (Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts), and Americans Only Read the Headlines (Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts).
