As a twelve year old in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michaela saw a youth production of Les Misérable that moved her so intensely that she cried for two days. Now, she savors any opportunity to turn tears & grief, as well as joy & wonder, into art. Besides crying, she loves comedy (yeah, she’s really versatile), playwriting, songwriting, and directing. Some favorite projects have been The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, The Last Five Years, films such as All About Sex (on Amazon Prime), and a devised piece she wrote and directed entitled REVOLUTION NOW! … LIKE, RIGHT NOW!
